Government of Himachal Pradesh vide notification no.Shram(A)4-3/2017 has exempted all factories registered under The Factories Act, 1948 in the state from the provisions of Section 51 (Weekly Hour), Section 54 (Daily Hour), Section 55 (Interval Of Rest), Section 56 (Spreadover) for a period of three months from the date of publication of the notification subject to below mentioned conditions, (1) No Adult workers shall be allowed or required to work in the factory more than twelve hours in a day and seventy-two hours in a week (2) The periods of work of adult workers in a factory each day shall be so fixed that no period shall exceed six hours and that no workers shall work for more than six hours before he had an interval for rest at least half an hour (3) Wages in respect of increased working hour as a result of this exemption shall be in proportion to the existing Minimum Wage fixed by the Government of Himachal Pradesh under Minimum Wage Act 1948 (4) Provision of the Over Time under section 59 of the Act shall continue to apply without any change. Hence, employers having their factories in the state of Himachal Pradesh registered under the Act may avail the benefit of extended working hours allowed at their factories in adherence to the specific instruction issued hereinabove including payment of overtime wages
Government of Karnataka vide notification no. 158/PNR/2020 has requested all employers not to terminate and reduce their employees’ wages during the Covid-19 curfew imposed in Karnataka. Please refer to the notification for more details.
The Government of Tamil Nadu vide notification number SRO A-9/2021 has introduced certain amendments to the Tamil Nadu factories rules 1950. As per the amendment under rule 103, regarding maintenance of muster roll and registers, the Manager of every factory is required to maintain a muster roll of all the workers employed in the factory in Form No. 25 and entries shall be made at the commencement of each period of work. The Manager shall make such muster roll readily available for inspection to the inspector at all times during working hours or when any work is being carried on in the factory and it shall be preserved for a period of three years after the last entry. The Register of adult workers and young persons in Form No. 12, Register of leave with wages in Form No. 15, and the muster roll and register of compensatory holidays in Form No. 25 shall be considered to serve the purposes of the Registers and muster roll. The Government of Telangana vide G.O.MS.No.102, has imposed lockdown in all parts of the State from 10. am to 6.00 am of the following day for a period of ten days subject to conditions and restriction. The regulation and measures also provide that all government, as well as private establishments, shall make payment of wages/ salaries fully to the workers/ employees including those working under contract and outsourcing basis during the above period. Any violation will be viewed seriously and will invite penal action under the relevant Act(s). Please refer to the notification for more details
